My name is Jason Cupitt and I'm a freelance Graphic Designer, originally from Sydney and now based in Tasmania's Huon Valley.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney, I pursued a career as a Visual Merchandiser and Stylist with retailers including, David Jones, Palmer Corporation, Duty Free Shoppers (DFS) and Country Road Australia. I worked as a homeware and fashion merchandiser with these retailers for almost 10 years.
I returned to study in 2001, completing a Diploma of Graphic Design at Enmore Design Centre in Sydney. I've worked full time as a Graphic Designer and Marketer since.
My design career began in publishing, starting with AJB Publishing in Sydney. I worked on technology and IT magazines including, CRN Australia, Stuff Magazine and PC Authority. I spent 2 years with AJB after it was acquired by the UK's largest independent publisher, Haymarket Media.
My career continued with Focus Publishing Interactive, a prominent custom book publisher in Sydney, specialists in business-to-business and government-to-business books. I remained an Art Director with Focus for 4+ years.
Since Focus Publishing, I have worked full time as a freelance creative, carving out a career in custom books, magazine, and marketing design.
